FAQ
Questions, answered
Do I need any design skills?
Not at all. Just describe what you'd like in plain words, you can even use our guided questions. We turn it into a beautiful design you can refine with a tap.
How much does it cost?
Designing is completely free. You only pay when you order a printed card. Prices start from £6.49 including UK delivery.
Can I send the card directly to someone?
Yes. At checkout you can choose to have it posted to you, or sent straight to the recipient as a gift, with no prices on the packing slip.
How long does delivery take?
Between 2 and 5 working days in total, depending on the delivery speed you pick: that's printing and postage together, counted from the next working day. Your card is made to order in the UK (1–2 working days in the press), then posted: Standard arrives in 2–4 working days overall, Budget in 3–5, and our Fastest tracked option in 2–3. You can follow each order from your account.
What if I'm not happy with my card?
Personalised items are generally exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right, but if your card arrives faulty or not as described we'll always put it right with a reprint or refund.
Who owns the design I create?
You're free to use your finished card for personal purposes. Full details are in our Terms and our note on AI-design ownership.
Can I change my design if I don't like the first version?
Yes, while you're designing, you can regenerate as many times as you like, completely free. Once you're happy, you lock your design in at full print quality, and you can still re-lock it up to 3 more times if you want to tweak it further before ordering.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. You can upload your own photos to be turned into artwork, or add a photo collage inside the card. We only ever use your photo to make your card, never to train AI models, and never for anything else.
Can I write my own message inside the card, in my own handwriting?
Yes, you can type your message and choose from a range of handwriting-style fonts, or photograph your own handwritten note and we'll print that instead.
Do I need to create an account to order?
Yes, you'll need a free account before you can generate any preview of your card, right from the start of designing, and again to check out. That's what lets your work be saved as you go and lets you track your order afterwards.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major debit and credit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device supports them, through our secure checkout.
Can I change or cancel my order after I've paid?
Once you've paid, your card goes straight to print, so we can't promise changes after that point, but if you spot a mistake, get in touch immediately and we'll do everything we can before it's too late.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not currently. Relic & Dear is a UK-only service for now, both for designing and delivery.
What sizes and finishes are available?
A few, to suit different budgets and occasions. See our Card options page for the full details, so this answer and that page never drift out of sync.
Does the card come with an envelope?
Yes. If you're sending it yourself, it arrives with a blank envelope tucked inside your package, ready for you to write on. If you choose to have it posted straight to the recipient, it's already sealed in its envelope and sent for you.
How do I request a refund or reprint if something's wrong?
Get in touch via our Contact page and we'll sort a free reprint or refund.
What happens to my photos and data after I order?
We only use an uploaded photo to generate your card, never to train AI models. You can delete your uploaded photos and generated cards from your account at any time, and deleted images are removed (kept only up to 30 days in a misuse-prevention log, then permanently deleted).
Can I order in bulk, or set up a corporate account?
Yes, get in touch through our Bulk Ordering option on the Contact page and we'll take it from there.
